Hi, I’m Trever.
I’m a designer with a background in front-end development and a knack for being curious. I became an advocate for user-centered design while learning how to fold Web standards into my code in 2007. Writing code, hounding over typography, and tinkering with responsive design are all tenets I still practice today — as seen on this site.
Currently, I’m a UX Lead at Fjord, one of the largest Service & UX design agencies in the world. Some of my clients include the Seattle Mayor’s office, the U.S. Federal Government, and various Fortune 100 organizations.
As an Anthropology major, I apply my knowledge of social science to a range of client work in unexpected ways. In my previous role as UX Director at Iron-Point, I devised and taught methodologies that fostered a user-centered culture at an early stage startup. This work brought in new business opportunities and differentiated us from competitors.
Offline, I’m a member of the Puget Sound Mycological Society. Hunting mushrooms has taken me into remote pockets of the Pacific Northwest. And my time foraging in the wild shaped me into an amateur naturalist, conservationist, and environmental activist.
Currently, I’m interested in working on side projects for social and environmental issues. Drop me a line if that sounds like you.
